![]() While classics like "Let's Get It On" are always a great choice, this list has some more modern offerings. The music streaming service has released the top songs users are adding to sex playlists, just to get you inspired. When there’s a unique or interesting guest it’s usually worth a listen, but being an everyday listener gets pretty repetitive very quickly.Looking for some new music to get it on to? Spotify has got you covered, whether you have plans with a special someone for Valentine's Day this weekend or are just looking for some jams to play to get you and your partner in the mood. At his worst, he gives a platform to people like Alex Jones or Ben Shapiro to go on a tirade with little solid fact checking (he’ll rebut their more wild/controversial claims when it suits him, but he’ll admit he has limited understanding on the subject and not have an expert or resource to back it up).Īt this point, he’s signed an exclusive deal with Spotify for like $100 million or something ridiculous and since then the quality of the show has really started to decline (it was already on the downslide, but this has really sent it over the edge for many fans). At his best, he gives experts, athletes, other comedians, and people with alternative viewpoints an extended format to discuss their ideas, findings, life, and just about any topic in between. He’s a comedian/mma commentator/former host of Fear Factor who started a podcast before that was really a thing so he’s grown to one of the largest podcasts in the world. Great that it works for you but it doesn’t make it any better, it is still the worst podcast player out there. ![]() I also don’t want yet another thing I have to manage myself specially when every other player, including the iPod more than a decade ago were already automatically pre downloading and deleting episodes for me so all I needed to do was to grab my device and go, never care about bad internet connection or managing episodes myself. I listen to podcasts when I commute or go for a walk, precisely where I’m to encounter these blind spots and it is very frustrating to have the sound stop because of it to the point that makes me quit the whole thing together. I live in a big city (London, U.K.) and visited quite a few other of the main big cities of the world and blind spots are always there, in London specially you’ve got the underground trains which are used every day but there’s also random spots in the city where the connection is bad. Flying on an airplane is far from being the only place where one is cut off from the internet. You asked me why it was bad and I gave you my answer, I’m glad it works for you but doesn’t make it any better, it is still the worst player out there. For Spotify it all seems to be geared up not for you to enjoy a podcast show but to endlessly keep listening to whatever they decide to throw your way, they want to be Netflix for podcasts and they are terrible at it, and it also ruins the music experience by making it secondary on the Home Screen. ![]() On top of all that there's the annoying advertisement for other shows that pollutes the Home Screen, even if you've only ever heard or care about one show, that's it, no more music on your Home Screen, all the top space is wasted on multiple rows of advertisement for shows you will never listen to with no way to disable it, and that is what annoys me the most, not only is the experience poor compared to other podcast players (including Apple's own which is way superior) but it opens the door to unwanted advertisement (even if you're a premium member). ![]() There are no notifications when new episodes become available, no rules on what episodes to keep or delete automatically (again all the keeping is manual), subscribing to a show seems completely meaningless on Spotify. Such as automatic downloads, which to me is the most basic feature a podcast player should have, I mean, from its creation, podcasts have been pre recorded "radio shows" that you download, not really stream, and even back in the mid 2000s with iTunes and iPods that was the thing, auto download and deletion of episodes, but not Spotify, you have to manually download each episode. It is bad because it's lacking on basic features that have been around for ages (as podcast themselves have).
